Thank you for visiting NaturalCardioHealth.com, the blog I created to improve the heart health of the world, one person at a time - safely and naturally. Wherever your cardiovascular health is now, I hope you gain some knowledge from this site that will make it even better. But, I have to share something with you…..
You see, I wasn’t always a “naturally healthy person”.
For years, I had the average adult lifestyle. I was stuck in an office, chained to a desk eating the usual office fare: pop, donuts, gallons of coffee, burritos, chips, burgers, etc, etc.
It wasn’t until my 40’s that I realized something had to change. I was putting on some undesirable weight in unflattering areas. I felt crappy and listless too much of the time. And my cholesterol numbers were too high.
Let me tell you, that last thing got my attention. You see, my father had several heart events – I remember vividly the February night the
Not only that, but my father’s dad also died of a heart attack despite being in otherwise excellent shape for his age. So, with my family history, current health, and 2 daughters and a wife depending on me, I couldn’t take any more risks.
So, I joined a health club and started exercising regularly. And in addition, started reading as much as I could about nutrition and natural health. Like you possibly, I was VERY concerned about the dangers of prescription drugs. There’s just too little research on their long term impact on health, not to mention the side effects.
Over the last 5 years, I’ve read dozens of books, hundreds of articles and studies, and talked to very knowledgeable health professionals. I was particularly interested in learning how to make the heart and cardiovascular system healthy using natural methods.
Even though I didn’t have a medical degree, I learned everything I could from natural health experts like Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Ray Strand, and Dr. Christiane Northrup. So, today, I actually know more about nutrition for the cardiovascular system than most doctors. I’m not trying to brag at all – it’s just a fact. This really isn’t surprising when you consider most physicians never had to take a single class in nutrition to graduate from medical school!
Well, I made a shocking discovery that would change my thinking and future life. My discovery centered around how specific nutrients provided to our cells in the right amounts could dramatically reduce someone’s chances of getting heart disease. And the most shocking part of all was that most doctors and other medical professionals are not telling people about it!
Why? That’s a whole other story for another time. Just know that there’s A LOT of money invested in cholesterol-lowering products, and we’ll leave it at that.
Anyway, I started taking these vitamins and nutrients in advanced levels (compared to what the government has been telling people for years). After a while, I noticed greatly improved health. My energy levels increased. I felt a lot better. I almost never got sick anymore. Even last fall, when I got Chicken Pox (many adults get hospitalized when they get it), I only had a few days of discomfort, and that was it. And, my health exams improved quite a bit, including my cholesterol levels. People even tell me I look 10 years younger than my actual age.
It was then, that the idea struck me. If this approach and lifestyle helped my cardiovascular and overall health, it should be able to help others too. My research told me that heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the western world, killing millions each year.
My wife told me, “You need to share this with others!” So, I made a big decision. I sold my retail business that I founded 15 years before, even though I loved what I was doing. Also, I wasn’t sure if people would listen to “just an average Joe”. But, it was a sacrifice that I felt I needed to do. My reasoning was that in the 2nd half of my life, I could make a much bigger impact on peoples’ lives by helping them become heart healthy. I wanted to help save lives.
There are many other choices out there besides dangerous drugs and surgery. I hope that you get some ideas on this site that help you avoid them both. Have a heart healthy day!
Kurt
